Emmet Cahill, one of Ireland’s most exciting young tenors and a principal vocalist with the popular Irish music show Celtic Thunder, will be in concert at Meridian Street United Methodist Church on Tuesday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m.
Emmet’s concert will include selections from his number-one World Music album, “Emmet Cahill’s Ireland,” with classics such as “Danny Boy,” “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling” and “An Irish Lullaby.” He’ll also perform Broadway standards, nostalgic favorites and well-loved hymns. The Meridian Street Chancel Choir will also perform and Emmet will join them on two of the pieces.
2017 was a banner year for Emmet. In addition to releasing a number-one album, he made his U.S. solo symphony debut with Space Coast Symphony Orchestra and was the guest artist with Symphony of the Mountains. He opened the prestigious New York City St. Patrick’s Day parade with a performance of “Danny Boy.” And in March 2018 Emmet made his Carnegie Hall debut in New York City!
General admission tickets for Emmet’s concert are $30. A limited number of Meet & Greet tickets, which include a pre-concert meeting with Emmet plus the concert, are also available for $45. All tickets may be purchased online at http://www.emmetcahill.com/tour-dates/ or at the church. Meridian Street United Methodist Church is located at 5500 N. Meridian Street in Indianapolis.
