Lenten Study Series: Applying the Psalms to Life

During the season of Lent, we will be journeying through the season with the psalms as our guide. The psalms give us a glimpse of the “soul” of God’s people. They are full of emotion; joy and lament, thanksgiving and hardships. Jesus would have learned and used the psalms, just as he did in his final days and even from the cross.

You are invited to join in a unique Lenten study experience. Instead of reading a book together, we will be learning how to use the psalms as a part of our spiritual practice. We will spend time in reflection questions, learning how to pray the psalms in our daily life, and even trying unique and creative ways to pray. This is will be a prayer experience, where we learn to apply the psalms to life.

This prayer workshop will be held at two different times throughout Lent: Sunday morning from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. in the Library (near the Fellowship Hall) and on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel.

Please sign up online or in the Parlor signup sheet for either the Sunday or Wednesday experience.
