Update on our new welcome center as of January 5,2016.
Chocolate, Coffee, and Women
Are you searching for a place of rest and renewal? Join us for Chocolate, Coffee and Women. It is a time to reflect on scripture, be surrounded with friends old and new, and a time for your soul to reset with the help of chocolate and prayer of course. All women are invited to attend these sessions of fellowship, sharing, Bible study, and prayer. We’ll meet on Saturdays at 9 a.m. in the Parlor on the pink couches continuing through November 19. Feel free to volunteer to guide one of the sessions as you feel led. Child care is available by reservation. Please let Elisa Deer or Erin know by Wednesday each week if you need child care. Questions? Contact Erin Buechler at 317.995.1697 or .
The Knitting Group is open to anyone who has an interest in knitting. Any level of knitter is welcome, including those who would like to leran to knit. Members of the group will be happy to provide instruction. The knitters gather together the third Thursday of the month to knit, chat, and exchange ideas and patterns. Currently they are knitting prayer shawls for church members and friends in need of a little extra comfort, as well as children’s sweaters, caps, mittens, and socks to give to East 10th Street and Vida Nueva Methodist Churches. They also knit Comfort or Prayer Dolls to be given to children who are in need of a little extra love. The last batch of dolls went to an orphanage in Bolivia visited by the mission team from Meridian Street.
There are lots of ideas and places and people in need, so the group would really welcome some new members! Contact Rev. Matt Landry for more information on how to get connected!
There are currently three active women’s groups—“Circles”—at Meridian Street and all would be delighted to have new members join them. Circle 1 meets Tuesday mornings for book discussion; Circle 6 is a Friday morning study group and Circle 7 meets on Saturday mornings. For more information contact Rev. Matt Landry.
