Besides the Wedding Pictures & Mementos display in February, we have dug into the archives to share amazing pictures and artifacts from our history. Exhibit topics include: Architecture, Church Life, Bibles, Music, Missions, Pastors and Circuit Riders.
The second Sunday of each month is designated as Celebration Sunday. Services will include special music, guest speakers, Meridian Street history and your favorite hymns.
In honor of our 200th anniversary, a choral anthem has been commissioned to premiere during our September 12, 2021 worship service. The work will include the choir, string quartet, organ, and handbells, and will commemorate this historic time in the life of Meridian Street UMC. Local Indianapolis
composer/clinician Jason Krug will be composing the work; Peggy Marshall and Jason will be co-lyricists.
Facts, Photos & Trivia
The year will be full of fun facts, educational photos, church memories and maybe even a contest or two!
The 200th & COVID-19
The committee has spent endless hours planning a great year for all to enjoy. However, the virus may have other plans. It is our goal to honor each of these events – but they may have to take on a different look and feel.
To help commemorate this special time in our church life, a new look - including a new color pallet and newly design logo - has premiered. The short video below explains the thought process that went into the creation of the new look.
