Local Outreach

We Support These Organizations

We partner with several local non-profit agencies to help offer relief, resource stability, and empower recovery and independence with neighbors in need. As the body of Christ, called the church, we understand our mission to be the same as that of Jesus on earth. Our purpose is to love and serve.

We have partnered with these local ministries to offer comfort and hope to those in need:

Martin Luther King Community Center

The Martin Luther King Community Center provides a safe and healthy place for students from the local Riley School #43, and the local area. Meridian Street partners with the MLKCC to assist in its programming including the after school homework assistance program “Homework Buddies.” The first role of a “Homework Buddy” is to be an encourager and mentor for the student. CONTACT the church office for more information on how to get connected.

Home Repairs for Good

Neighbor Link Indy helps neighbors whose homes are unsafe and/or falling apart so they do not enter homelessness. You can make lunch, connect with the homeowner, carry supplies, or help make repairs with support and coaching! If you are interested in volunteering or learning more about this program, please contact DAVE WITHEY or
JEANETTE JEFFERIES.

Habitat for Humanity

Local and Global Outreach

There are many opportunities to serve right here
at Meridian Street, in Indianapolis and throughout the world.

We all have different gifts and different ways we

feel comfortable helping. Each ministry at Meridian Street is possible because of volunteers who have a heart for children, youth, music, missions and outreach. We know you want to give back and find your place in the church family.

There are many ways to serve right here “at home” at 5500 N. Meridian. You can serve by Greeting fellow worshipers as they arrive for church services, being a Fellowship Time Host (putting out the coffee and donuts—and first chance to grab your favorite flavor!), help serve Communion, or lead worship by being a Liturgist. These are just a few of the many opportunities.
