Like most churches Meridian Street holds a deep commitment to care for the emotional and spiritual needs of the congregation and the community. Responding to those needs come in a variety of ways.

Often the first line of help comes from our pastors addressing immediate needs such as hospital stays and crisis situations but there are also those times when people seek to meet for consultation or counseling or for the comfort of a friendly ear in a confidential environment. You will find the pastor’s contact information on the “Meet the Staff” page.  Please feel free to contact a pastor directly or you can e-mail Mary Sue McAlister, administrative assistant/volunteer coordinator.

In addition to the pastors our caring team includes Congregational Care Visitors who extend the reach of our care ministry with extensive follow up for those who are sick, and home and hospital visitation of our members and friends.

Watch the calendar for upcoming Congregational Care events, such as “The A, B, C’s and D’s of Medicare” and “Living Wills, Living Choices” workshops.
