Kids on Sunday

Children are very important to the Meridian Street United Methodist Church community, especially on Sunday mornings.  The staff and caregivers who spend time with your children on Sunday mornings have been screened, trained, and are supervised. We offer a wonderful and safe place for children of all ages to learn about the love of God.

Sunday morning nursery: We are happy to offer loving care in our Nursery (Room 103) for children from birth through preschool age during both the Sunday school hour and the worship hour.  This time is filled with toys, books and Bible stories, smiles and laughter. Children older than preschool attend children’s Sunday school and worship with their families until exiting to children’s church.

Children's Church--During the worship service: Children above preschool age will begin their worship hour alongside their parents, experiencing the sanctuary environment and the gathering of worshipers through the opening of the service. Children will be invited to move to a children’s church service held in the church library following a children’s message embedded in corporate worship. Those who prefer to remain in the sanctuary have activity bags (for ages 3 through 6) and worship bulletins (for ages 7 through 11) available at both entrances to the Sanctuary.
